The dashboard

What each number and card on your home screen means, where the "Needs attention" items come from, and the quick actions at the top.

The first screen after you sign in is your organization's dashboard. Everything on it is live and uses your organization's time zone.

The four numbers

  • This month: counted gifts so far this month, after refunds, with the gift count and the change against the same point last month.
  • Year to date: counted gifts since January 1, after refunds, against the same period last year.
  • Monthly recurring: what your active recurring plans add up to per month (yearly plans are divided by twelve), the number of active plans, and how many are past due.
  • Active donors: donors who gave in the last 12 months, how many are new this month, and your total donor count.

"Counted" means succeeded or partially refunded gifts; failed, pending and fully refunded gifts are excluded.

Last 12 months

A bar per month of net giving. Hover a bar for the amount and the number of gifts. Reports → opens the full reports page.

Needs attention

This card appears only when there's something to do, and contains at most three lines:

  • N thank-yous to send: gifts waiting in the thank-you queue. Opens Thank-yous.
  • N recurring gifts past due: plans whose retries have run out and need a new card. Opens Recurring filtered to past due.
  • N deposits to check: Stripe payouts whose gifts, fees and refunds don't yet tie out to the amount deposited. Opens the Deposits report.

Disputes, QuickBooks errors and open tasks are not on this card; find them on the Gifts page, the Accounting page and Donors → Tasks.

Getting started

Shown until the basics are done: add your EIN, connect payments, set up a fund, invite a teammate. Each line links to the right screen. Once every item is ticked the card disappears. If the Set-up helper is available for your account, a note points you to it in the bottom-right corner.

Other cards

  • Recognize your monthly donors appears once you have three or more active recurring plans and no partner tiers yet, with a link to set them up.
  • Top funds this year lists your funds by net giving since January 1.
  • Recent gifts shows the latest gifts with donor, fund, date and status; All gifts → opens the Gifts page.
  • In the sample organization, a Things to try card lists a short tour.

Quick actions

The buttons at the top depend on your role: Record gift (record a check, cash or in-kind gift), Add donor, and Send thank-yous (N) when the queue has gifts and you can send thank-yous.
