DonorFinch has no passwords. You sign in with a link we email you, and the same link creates your account the first time.

  1. Go to Sign up and enter the email address you want to use for DonorFinch. Use one you check often; receipts and notices about your account go there.
  2. Click Email me a sign-in link.
  3. Open the email and click the link. It works for 15 minutes and only once. If it expires, request a new one from the same page.

Tip: Nothing arrived? Check spam, and make sure you typed the address correctly. The email comes from DonorFinch's no-reply@donorfinch.com address.

2. Name your organization

After your first sign-in you'll be asked to create an organization:

  • Organization name: your nonprofit's name as donors know it. It appears on donation forms and receipts.
  • URL name: the short name used in your donation page links, like /give/harbor-food-bank. We suggest one; you can change it here.
  • EIN (optional): your tax ID. It prints on donor receipts. You can add it later under Settings → Organization, but receipts sent before then won't show it.
  • Time zone: used for receipt dates and year-end cutoffs. We default to your browser's time zone.

Click create and you're on your dashboard.

3. Follow the "Getting started" card

Your dashboard shows a short checklist: add your EIN, connect payments, set up a fund, invite a teammate. The next guides in this series walk through each step, in the order we recommend:

  1. Set up your organization
  2. Connect Stripe
  3. Customize your donation form
  4. Install the form on your website
  5. Connect QuickBooks Online (optional)

Signing in later

Go to Log in, enter your email, and click the link we send. You stay signed in on that browser for 30 days. The same email can belong to more than one organization; you'll pick one after signing in.
