Website & embeds

Install the form on your website

Share the hosted page, or embed the form on any site with one script tag. WordPress and Wix have their own one-click paths.

You have three ways to put your donation form in front of donors. Use any or all of them.

Option 1: Share the hosted page

Every published form has its own page on DonorFinch:

https://app.donorfinch.com/give/<your-url-name>/<form-link>

Put it behind a "Donate" button in your site's menu, in your email signature, or on a flyer. Nothing to install. You can pre-select an amount or frequency with link parameters; see Hosted donation page links.

Option 2: Embed on any website

  1. In the form builder, open the Add to website tab.
  2. Copy the snippet. It looks like this:
<script src="https://app.donorfinch.com/embed/v1.js" data-form="your-url-name/your-form" async></script>
  1. Paste it into your page where the form should appear (an "HTML" or "Code" block in most site builders). The form shows inline and sizes itself.
  2. For a Donate button that opens the form in a popup instead, add data-mode="button" data-label="Donate" to the tag; the Add to website tab has a toggle that writes this for you.
  3. Add your website to the allowed list. Under Settings → Website, click Add website and enter your site's address (for example https://www.yourcharity.org). Only sites on this list can show your forms, which keeps imposters from embedding them. The embed won't load until the site is listed.

Works with Squarespace, Weebly, Webflow, Google Sites, Carrd, hand-written HTML and anything else that lets you paste a script tag.

Option 3: WordPress or Wix

Both have a dedicated integration that handles the allowed-sites step for you:

  • Install on WordPress: a small plugin with a "DonorFinch Donation Form" block and a shortcode.
  • Install on Wix: the DonorFinch app from the Wix App Market, with a drag-in widget.

Test it

Open your page in a private browser window and make sure the form appears. If you want to test a real charge, give $1 to yourself and refund it afterwards from Gifts; our platform fee comes back with the refund (Stripe's processing fee does not). See Issue a refund.
