Donation form options, A to Z

Settings are grouped by the tabs in the form builder (Forms → a form), with a live preview beside them. A form is a Draft until you click Publish; Take offline stops it accepting gifts and the link shows a "not available" notice. You can have as many forms as you like.

Basics

• Form name: internal, shown in your gift records.
• Link: the part of the hosted URL and embed code, e.g. general → /give/your-org/general. Changing it breaks existing links and embeds.
• Gifts go to: the fund gifts from this form are recorded against unless the donor picks another.
• Campaign: attribute all gifts from this form to a campaign.
• Thank-you message: shown on the confirmation screen and at the top of the receipt email (up to 1,000 characters).
• After giving, send donors to (optional): a page on your own site instead of the built-in thank-you screen.
• Delete this form: the link stops working; past gifts are kept.

Amounts & frequency

• Preset amounts: up to 8, each $1–$999,999; star one as the default. Defaults are $25 / $50 / $100 / $250 with $50 selected.
• Allow any amount: shows an "Other amount" box.
• Minimum gift: $1 or more.
• Frequencies: One-time, Monthly, Yearly, each on or off, with a default. Out of the box: one-time and monthly.
• Pre-check "cover processing fees": on by default. See How donors cover fees.

Donor options

• Let donors choose a fund: a dropdown of your funds instead of a fixed one.
• Offer "in honor / in memory of": tribute gifts, with the honoree's name and an optional notification email and message to a family member.
• Ask for mailing address and Ask for phone number.
• Offer "keep my name private": an anonymous checkbox. You still see who gave; the flag is for public recognition lists.

Questions

Up to 10 custom questions: Short answer, Paragraph, Dropdown or Checkbox, each optionally required. Answers show on the gift. See Custom questions.

Appearance

• Accent color, Card background, Text color
• Corner roundness (0–24 px)
• Headline, Short description, Button text
• Hide organization name and logo on the form: useful when the form sits under your own site header.
• Show "Powered by DonorFinch": on or off.

Payment methods

Not a per-form setting. Forms accept whatever your Stripe account has enabled (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, US bank transfer); manage that in your Stripe dashboard under Settings → Payment methods. The donor's card statement shows your Stripe descriptor plus DONATION.

Limits that apply to every form

$1 minimum, $999,999.99 maximum per gift; US dollars only.
