What DonorFinch costs
No monthly fee. 1.2% per online gift, plus Stripe's processing fee. Checks, cash and imports are free.

DonorFinch has one plan, and it has no monthly fee. You pay only when an online gift comes in.
The two fees on an online gift

Both are taken out automatically when the card is charged. There is never an invoice from DonorFinch.
Example: a $100 card gift, donor does not cover fees
- Stripe (2.2% + 30¢): $2.50
- DonorFinch (1.2%): $1.20
- Your organization receives: $96.30
Example: the donor covers fees (the default)
The donor is charged $103.83 so that after both fees you receive the full $100. See How donors cover fees for the math.
What is free
- Gifts you record by hand: checks, cash, in-kind.
- Gifts you import from a spreadsheet.
- Unlimited donors, forms, team members, receipts, statements and reports.
- Email support.
Refunds
When you refund an online gift, DonorFinch returns its platform fee for the refunded portion. Stripe does not return its processing fee; that is Stripe's policy for all businesses.
Where to see fees
- On your dashboard and Settings → Payments ("Platform fee: 1.2% of each gift").
- In the Deposits report, which lists each Stripe payout with its gifts, Stripe fees and platform fees to the cent.
- In Stripe's own dashboard, where DonorFinch's fee shows as an "application fee" on each payment.
Stripe's nonprofit rate
Stripe offers the discounted 2.2% + 30¢ rate to registered 501(c)(3) organizations that mostly receive donations. You request it from Stripe directly; see Getting Stripe's nonprofit rate. DonorFinch's fee is the same either way.
